My Girls

As I said in my last post I am getting divorced and have had to let go of my girls a little I have been the primary caretaker of both of my girls since they have been born. My husband worked and I stayed home and took care of the kids. It was my dream come true to be able to stay home with my kids and see them grow on a day to day basis and not miss one thing My husband didn't have a lot of involvement in the day to day care of the kids until they got older. When they were babies I would do everything, which was fine with me. He would say that I would never let him do anything with them or be involved and then when I would ask to help or to take them somewhere he would tell me I never wanted to be around them and I always wanted to pawn them off. It was really a no win situation for me.

Fast forward to the present, we are getting divorced and he is asking for 50/50 custody!!!!! ?Is he out of his mind? He couldn't handle them 1% of the time when we were married and now he wants them 50% of the time!!!! I said no way right away, my kids have only spent the night away from me two times, now he wants them to be away from me for weekends at a time and while he takes them on vacation? Unfortunately, when you get divorced it really doesn't matter who is the primary care giver of the kids, the father has rights also!! The father who really didn't show any interest in them, makes poor decisions when it comes to safety, and really just doesn't want to pay the child support gets rights!!!

I had to agree to some kind of timesharing plan or the judge was going to decide for me. I had to decide how I was going to divide my children like they were some kind of cattle or something. It was terrifying!!! I didn't want them to be away from me for any amount of time, especially when the person you are giving them to only wants them to not pay child support. He wouldn't call to see how they were doing or ask how the day was, he would wait for them to call him. He is a grown man and they are children, give me a break!!!

They have gone with him a few weekends now. They seem to be okay, but they watch a lot of movies and play. He always plays with them so he will always be the cool fun one. He takes them to birthday parties, which is so funny, because he would never go to a birthday party with me, I would ALWAYS have to go alone!! I just can't believe what an asshole he has turned out to be!! I think that is the hardest part about this whole thing!! It is hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that the guy I was with for 11 years is hardly recognizable!!! He is doing shit I never dreamed he would do, it is just very hurtful and uncalled for!!! I will love my husband til the day I die and I really wish we could have worked this out. I know everything will work out in the end, but for right now, I HATE IT!!! My kids are doing okay with the whole thing, they like to go with daddy, but by the third day they are calling me to come home!! My girls are my first priority in this divorce and in life in general!! We will make it through this with a positive attitude and I will be a better person in the end The truth always prevails and I know I can sleep at night knowing I am doing the right thing by my kids I will keep everyone posted on what happens, there is a big surprise I have to share!!!

Going to the Big D..and I don't mean Dallas!

I am still alive over here even though I have not blogged in the longest time. I have been going through some serious and complicated shit over here and I am having a hard time dealing with it. I am turning to my blog to see if will help me get through this or to see if anyone else has gone through a similar situation. Here I go starting to vent...

My last blog post was about how I thought I was having a heart attack and my husband wouldn't call 911. After that happened I left my husband! I felt like that night he let me down and the trust I once had in him was gone!! It broke my heart to do something like that, to pack up my kids and come and move in with my mom. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life!! I was just to devastated by what he did to me, letting me down when I asked him to call 911 and he looked at me like fuck you, my heart couldn't go on anymore. I left about two weeks later because I was having horrible anxiety and I couldn't eat or sleep. I lost 30 pounds and was barely able to function. I didn't realize how much I would be affected by one little incident, it is just that my trust was shaken to the core and I couldn't get over it.

When I left I kind of thought my husband would give me a little space to try and regroup and get my thoughts back together and then we could work on our marriage. That is the total opposite of what happened!! He had asked me a couple of times what he could do so I would come home, I didn't really have an answer because it was still so fresh I wasn't really sure what I wanted him to do. About a month had gone by and we weren't communicating at all, we really didn't even really talk about the kids, I was devastated. We would call him and he wouldn't answer and then the next day he said he was sleeping. I found out that he was already dating other people and had moved on. I have been with him for 11 years and would never dream that he would forget about his family in less then 2 months, once again I was devastated.

He served me with divorce papers and he quickly moved forward with the divorce. He was accusing me of alienating the kids from him when he was the one who wouldn't come and see them or answer the phone when we would call. It was a real mess at the beginning. It was so confusing at the beginning for me, I didn't want the divorce, but he was so adamant about us getting divorced so he can move on. He was so sick of sitting around and waiting for me to come around, come around, I have been with him for 11 years and just went through a very traumatic thing and he is sick of waiting for me!!!!! I got an attorney and we moved forward much to my dismay!

It got real nasty,name calling, police reports, restraining orders, it was just so uncalled for but our emotions were so high that it just got way out of hand. My husband, by the advice of his attn, got a guardian ad litem, to tell us how to parent our children. That might have been one of the biggest mistakes of his life! I will explain later. This guy was appointed to us to help us co-parent, which is such a joke because the whole time we were married I was the only one who parented, he only played with them. He is going for 50/50m custody of the girls so he will not have to pay as much child support, everybody knows that, including the professionals that we saw. He wants this to just be over with and act like none of this ever happened and the past 11 years can be put behind him.

My heart is so hurt by the stuff my husband has done and accused me of. I didn't want a divorce, I wanted to work it out and use this experience as a new beginning for us. Start over and be stronger then we were before, he would just have nothing to do with it. He just wanted to go out and do his own thing and put all of this behind him. I am slowly coming o grips with the fact that we are going to get divorced and move on without each other. It is very hard to deal with sometimes, but it is getting easier as the days go by.

One of the hardest things I have had to do during this divorce is let go of my girls......

Heart Attack, ER, and Phemonia

A couple of days ago I felt like I was getting a cold. I have diabetes so I have to take these things seriously because it can affect my sugar and my sugar can get out of hand real quick. I was just going to wait to see if it went away, but by te second day I had had enough. I have to take care of my kids so I needed something to dry me up and make me comfortable. I went to the store and bought this diabetic stuff to help dry me up and to hopefully make me functional. I took the medicine around eight in the evening and never thought another thing about it except for how much it made me feel better.

I layed down to go to sleep around 11:30pm and couldn't catch my breath!! I fel like I couldn't breath and my chest and arms were tingling. I was so scared I jumped up and told my husband to call 911! I knew something was wrong but in my panicked state I couldn't figure out what. I had a really hard time catching my breath and to tell you the truth, I thought I was having a heart attack!!! Ijust kept thinking I am only 29 years old this can't be happening! I was so short of breath and my chest was so tight and the tinglimg in my arms was so out of control, it all just added up to a heart attack! I then thought of everything I hope I did in case I was actually dying. I know I sound so dramatic, but I really didn't know what was happening! I was thinking did I tell my kids I loved them, kiss my husband before we went to bed, did I see my parents today, have I talked to my sisters? I called my mom to come down and take me to the hospital. When she got there I started to feel a little better, but I still had the tingling in my left arm, which was not letting me relax!! I finally said to my mom, "Let's go to the hospital I will never be able to sleep otherwise!"

We got to the hospital around 1am and checked in. When we got there I was feeling a little better but still had numbness and a little shortness of breath. I was really scared!! They called me back and gave me an EKG right away and it came out NORMAL!! Then I started to feel even better knowing I wasn't having a heart attack! They came in and did some tests and I had a chest x-ray and just sat there. I couldn't go to sleep because I was affraid I wouldn't be able to breathe again!! The tests finally came back....

I had pnemonia!!! What!! pnemonia, how can that be, I feel fine other then a little cold!!The weird part was, all my vital signs were perfect, I had no wheezing, and my sugar was not elevated at all!!! I do know one thing, I was so relieved to know that I wasn't having a heart attack!!!! They gave me a shot in my butt and sent me on my way!! By thw way, the shot hurt really bad!!!

You know, I was so relieved to know I really was going to be okay! It was just the scariest feeling know that I couldn't catch my breath and to have symptoms of a heart attack, that was just so scary!!! I am home now recovering and just taking it easy. My mom and sister came over and helped me with the kids. Dale took them for the day the other day so I could rest. Thank goodness for my family or else I would have a hard time resting and recovering.

The best part of the whole thing is that, I am not having a heart attack and I got home before my kids woke up!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

The new year for me is a time to look back on the year that has gone by (way to fast) and reflect on the things that have happened in my life, both good and bad. I am really not good at making resolutions, because really it is just like setting myself up for failure!! I never really stick to my resolution, so why bother?

I am this year going to try to improve on things in my life! I am going to turn over a new leaf and try to have a newer positive lease on life! This year there have been amazing things that have happened to me and my family.

For one thing, my husband still has a job and we have a roof over our head which I thank god for everyday!!!!!

My daughter started school this year for the first time I was so sad at first, but as time has gone by, I think it is the best thing ever! She really loves going and seeing her friends and learning new things.

My family has turned a whole year older and we still have our health Having your health is most important of all.

I have traveled to some amazing places and shared the experiences with my children!

Grace got rid of her pacifier and never looked back.

I have learned many new things about myself that I never knew before and it feels really good

I have grown closer to my husband and our communication has improved by like a thousand!! Communication is key!!

I started my blog, which has been so much fun!

I also started my jewelry designs and actually sold one of my pieces!!!

I have made some new friends that I have really enjoyed getting to know

Everyday I thank god for all of the blessings in my life and as this new year is getting ready to kick off, I can't wait to see what it has to offer 2009 was a good year for me and I know 2010 will be even better!! I am going to be positive and try to look on the positive side of things from now on. I am also going to try to have more patience with my children and other people!!! These are just a couple of things I am going to work on as this new year approaches!!!

Is there anything anyone else is going to try to work on this new year?

I really would just like to wish everyone a happy, safe, and most importantly HEALTHY New Year!!!!!

BLOGGIN Succes!?!!?

Ya know when I started my blog I wanted it to be this huge success!! I wanted people to read it comment on it and really love it! I really didn't know what it meant to have a successful blog. Did it mean that you had five thousand hits a day, that you made forty thousand dollars in advertising, you had six thousand comments a day? I really didn't know? I wanted people to enjoy what I had to say, and I wanted people to laugh!

Time has gone by and posts have been blogged and I realized that, my blog is successful! I don't really have that many visitors to my blog, but I do have a couple of loyals, which I appreciate!!!

My blog is successful to ME! That is really all that matters! Like I said in the beginning I wanted other people to love what I had to say, then as time went by, a lot of people didn't care. Then when I really thought about it, my blog was successful because I was writing down my feelings on ~~paper~~ a website so years down the line I can look back and remember everything that I thought or things that happened on that day!

I don't have a journal that I write in on a daily basis, but I do have a blog, a blog that can be used as an archive to look back on when my kids are older and I will remember what happened on that day. I would never in a million years remember what happened on May 30, 2009 if I had to use my mental Rolodex, but I can look back on my blog and it will bring back all the memories of that day!

I can remember that Grace said she wubs me poreber and a day, or that Maggie was running up the slide just like I used to do, or the time they drove me crazy and all I wanted to do was run away!!!!!

I guess I just realized that it doesn't matter how many visitors I have or comments people write or how much money I make on my blog, it really is just successful to ME! I can write down my true feelings without feeling bad and have an archive of my feelings and memories of my time with my kids that will never go away!

For that I am so thankful I started this blog!

I want to be six again!

I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of a six year old again. I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant. I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples with rocks. I want to think M&Ms are better than money, because you can eat them. I want to play kickball during recess and paint with watercolors in art. I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summers' day.

I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all you knew were colors, addition tables and simple nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care. When all you knew was to be happy because you didn't know all the things that should make you worried and upset. I want to think that the world is fair. That everyone in it is honest and good. I want to believe that anything is possible.

Somewhere in my youth...I matured and I learned too much. I learned of nuclear weapons, war, prejudice, starvation and abused children. I learned of lies, unhappy marriages, suffering, illness, pain and death. I learned of a world where men left their families to go and fight for our country, and returned only to end up living on the streets...begging for their next meal. I learned of a world where children knew how to kill...and did!!

What happened to the time when we thought that everyone would live forever, because we didn't grasp the concept of death? When we thought the worst thing in the world was if someone took the jump rope from you or picked you last for kickball? I want to be oblivious to the complexity of life and be overly excited by little things once again. I want to return to the days when reading was fun and music was clean. When television was used to report the news or for family entertainment and not to promote sex, violence and deceit. I remember being naive and thinking that everyone was happy because I was. I would walk on the beach and only think of the sand between my toes and the prettiest seashell I could find. I would spend my afternoons climbing trees and riding my bike. I didn't worry about time, bills or where I was going to find the money to fix my car. I used to wonder what I was going to do or be when I grew up, not worry about what I'll do if this doesn't work out.

I want to live simple again. I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness and loss of loved ones. I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind and making angels in the snow.

I want to be six again.

My birthday is tomorrow and I am going to be 29! I know I am not old by any means, but I read this poem when I was a kid and I always remembered it. As time goes by and life happens I thought of this poem! Since my birthday is tomorrow, what better time to share it, because you know I wish I was 6 instead of 29!!!!

Safety Hazard!!

Whoever designed this slide has obviously never heard of safety first!!!

When I was a kid I remember this slide being a dream come true! You would get a running start and run up it as fast as you can just to slide right back down again! It was always so fun and reckless! I remember it looked like it was about thirty feet tall and you were going to run into the clouds when you got to the top! I remember climbing up the slide seemed like you were climbing up a straight wall it was so steep and if you had the right clothing on, you would fly down like a rocket ship! I remember just having the best time on this kind of slide!! I think one of the best parts was, there were no sides to hang onto, so if you fell because you got to cocky and went to fast or if you just lost your footing, you were in a world of shit! It was a long way to the ground my friend!!!

But, the other day we went to the park while we were in New Hampshire and this slide was there! Guess who gravitated right to it? Maggie! I was a nervous wreck watching her run up the slide that had no side rails to hang onto in case she got to cocky or just lost her footing! When she climbed the ladder which still seemed like it went to the sky, the only problem was, if she fell it was a long way down my friends!! She would get a running start and run right to the top just to slide back down, it really just didn't seem as fun this time! The thought of my Maggie falling off a slide that seemed like it was thirty feet tall and no side railings for her to hold on to in case she slipped just didn't seem fun anymore!

As I watched her run up and down the slide, just like I used to do, it brought back so many memories of being a kid and going to the playground and just having the most fun you can have!!! Can you imagine the most dangerous thing in life to worry about is if you are going to make it to the top of the slide without falling off!! Maggie really did have a good time just being a reckless carefree kid teitering on the edge of disaster with one false move to the right or left and it was fun and scary to watch all at the same time!!!

Absense makes the heart grow fonder:)

I have been away for a while and not blogging! I really don't have a good reason for it except, I traveled, decorated for Christmas, tried to unpack, trying to get my house ready for the holidays, and sleeping!! For some reason I can't stop sleeping!!! I did notice that when you don't blog for more then one or two days, people don't visit your blog! Hum, how weird!!!

I am back in the blogging game again! I really do love to blog and write down my feelings and things that happen in my day to day life, but sometimes my day to day life makes it to busy for me to blog. I have been going to bed at 7:30pm! I never go to bed that early, I don't know what it is, I just must need some sleep!

I am going to post some pics from my trip and tell some stories of shizz that happened while I was away, just not tonight, I am to tired LOL!!!

Things I hate about Traveling!

I love traveling to different places to see different things and experience new sights! On the other hand, there are things I absolutely dispise about traveling! Here are a few of the things I dispise:

1. I HATE packing! I can never seem to remember everything even though I have traveled on planes with them a thousand times! It seems like we spend more money when we get here on things I forgot then we actually spent on the plane tickets!

2. I could never go through security again and it would be too soon! I have to take take everyone's shoes off and put them back on and then all of our shit is scattered all over the pace and you have to find it like you are in some kind of scavenger hunt or something! I really hate that!!

3. Sitting at the terminal is for the birds! You have to get there so early just to sit in the terminal and wait for the plane! Half the time you sit there for a long time just for them to tell you your flight has been delayed! Talk about a kick in the balls, I feel like I want to go crazy the second they say the flight is delayed!! Where are you going to go? What are you going to do with two wild children that just want to get on an airplane? Most of the time it is to early in the morning to drink!!!

4. Another thing I could totally do without is arriving! It is so annoying when you have to find yor luggage on the carousel, you never know which one is yours and half the time you grab the wrong one! Everyone is in a complete tailspin to make sure they grab the right luggage before it goes all the way back in the black hole! Once it goes in the black hole there is a another set of issues! If you accidently grab the wrong suitcase, you get all weird because you never know what they have in there bag, then you feel like "they" are looking for you

5. Then you have to find your car! Whoever is picking you up has to stay in the line and you are frantically looking while trying to watch to make sure your kids don't run in the road and no one takes your luggage! It is such a clusterfuck!! The best part is, you usually have more luggage then arms to carry it all, so some ~~person of interest~~ stranger you don't know has to help you carry your luggage across to the waiting car! What a complete disaster it usually turns out to be!

6. I am usually starving by the time we arrive at our destination, since all they give you on flights these days in air and water! Nothing ever sounds good and no one can ever agree on what to eat! When we do finally decide on what to eat, nobody really likes the food, we just went because it was the easiest place to go! I don't know if that happens to you, but it sure happens to me on more then one occasion! I am speaking from major experience here people!

7. My last and final thought, one of the biggest pet peeves of mine, I usually sit in front of or behind the person that farts the whole flight!! Everytime they make a move it seems like they are farting! It is like I have a permanent fart cloud around my seat!! The best part is, it is not my fart cloud!!! It stinks so bad and it makes me just want to say over the intercom, "Exscuse me, but can whoever is sitting in the seat in front of me or behind me, I can't tell which row you are in, can you please stop farting because all the hair in my nose is burned to a crisp and we still have a long flight left! I feel sick to my stomach as is and your gassy ass is not helping one bit!! Thank you passengers and have a safe rest of your flight" I don't know if that would make the smell go away, but I would sure feel better!!

That is all I can think of right now! I will get back to you if I can think of anything else

Kool-Aid

The other day I drank some Kool-Aid and forgot how much I loved it! My kids picked it up at the store and I bought it by accident. They found it in the closet ans my husband made it therefore I tried it. OMG! The minute I drank it I returned to being a kid again when I used to drink it all the time. I remembered when we used to eat the powder out of the container and our mouths would be so red and we would tell my parents that we didn't eat any! What were we thinking, it looked like we got shot in the mouth they were so red!

Since I had it the other day, I have ventured out to drink more then just the cherry. I tried the grape, fruit punch, and of course the classic, cherry! I love it all and think it will be my new favorite drink from now on! I am going to divorce crystal light and re-marry kool aid after all these years! Sometimes an old flame is better then a new and improved flame, you know what I mean?

Feasts and Flight Delays

This Thanksgiving we came to New Hampshire to be with my husbands family. We come here every other year for the holidays to spread the joy with his side of the family. I enjoy coming here I just don't enjoy the traveling to get here!

We left on Tuesday afternon because Maggie had her first Thanksgiving feast at her school. I wouldn't have missed that for the world! She had made vests, hats, and placemats and the whole school put on a performance and her class sang! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen I was so pround of her standing up there on stage and singing the song and doing the little dance she had learned. Some of the parents had brought in some food and desserts so when the performance was over, we all sat down and had a little feast. It really was so special to be there with my little girl and her friends and just enjoy the time with her! She was so proud of herself and I was so proud of her! It was a great start to the holiday festivites!!

Right after the feast we had to be at the airport to leave on vacation. Talk about cutting it close, as usual we were balls to the wall and rushing! I was a little nervous about flying for acouple of reasons. For one thing the Swine flu is all over the place and I just was a little apprehensive about being at the airport where people from all over the world travel and touch and snot all over everything! What better place to catch ome kind of funk then the airport! I washed everyone's hands as often as possible and tried not to touch to much sthuff and if we did I washed hands and arms and legs and feet! Just kidding, but I did wash hands often, you can never be too careful when it come to your health and the prevention of spreading illnesses. Now that i think of it, I should have bought stock in an antibacterial company, I probably would be a millionaire right now! Just saying

The other reason I was worried is because it is the holiday season and there is always flight delays, no matter what! We checked our bags and got through security with no problem! That was a mojor shock because usually security takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R! Since securitydidn't take long I thought we were off to a great start! Sometimes I don't think I sould even think because that is when everything goes awry! I was already exhausted and trying to pull it together just to get on the plane when they cme over the intercom and said the flight was going to be delayed for an hour for low ceiling in the sky!! I thought my blood was going to shoot out of my veins because that was one more hour that the kids weren't going to be confined in their carseats and I was going to have to find something to do with them!!!! My husband kept them busy for most of the time, but we had to eat and get drinks and just rearrange the whole day now. really just wanted to be on the plane watching TV and getting there!! We finally board the plane to sit there for a while! That really annoys the shit out of me, you have to get there so early just to sit there and not go anywhere! Don't these people know we have places to go and people to do see! We taxi off to the runway just in time to pull over and take care of some mechanical problem that only a few people know about. Real quick, I would really like to know what is wrong with the plane before we take off, just in case I wanted to get off and decide to drive!

We jet down the runway and lift off, finally! Grace fell asleep and Maggie talked the whole time! The whole time, the flight is like three hours, and she found enough to talk about for three hours! I couldn't believe it! I couldn't believe she had that much to say at four years old! I just wanted to go to sleep, I think I did at some points I couldn't help it! We finally arrived an hour and a half late my mother in law picked us up and we went to eat. We just got some pizza because that was the easiest thing to do. Maggie akmost fell asleep at the restaurant and Grace was wired! She had just slept for three hours on a plane and was hungry! After we left the restaurant Maggie fell fast asleep in the car but Grace, oh Grace, her little self stayed up until 11pm! She finally crashed on the couch with me, I was asleep shortly after! I was just relieved that we arrived safely and in one piece

Even though it was a little bit of a disaster of a start, it ended up turning out okay in the end! Sometimes I stress about stuff and drive ~~myself~~ everyone crazy and it all turns out just fine in the end!!

Happy Thanksgiving:)

First and foremost, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone I hope everyone had and awesome day filled with good food and desserts and mostly quality time spent with family and friends!

I have been very busy these last couple of days getting ready for Thanksgiving. We traveled to New Hampshire to be with my husbands family this year. Usually every other year we come here either for Thanksgiving or Christmas, this year it is Thanksgiving. It is really beautiful here and I have enjoyed spending time in this part of the world.

It really makes a huge difference when you are somewhere that is actually cool and feels like the actual holiday season. Where we live in Florida it is always hot and humid and never really feels like a holiday, it always just seems like summer all year round.
The kids are having the best time playing with all of their cousins and dressing up in there coats and boots because it is so cold. They think it is actually fun to put a couple of layers on to go outside! I think it is so annoying to put the layers on then the second they get outside they have to come in and take them off because they have to go to the bathroom! It is fun though to see them in all the get up just to go outside

I hope everyone enjoyed their day like I did! I missed my family back home and was thinking about them all day I didn't talk to my sisters all day because it was so busy! I talk to them everyday so I am sad about that, but they know I love them and I will talk to them!

I am so thankful today for so many things! I am thankful for my family, without them I would not be who I am today, I am thankful for my kids, they are the best blessings I could have ever gotten, I thank God for them everyday! I am thankful for my husband, I love him for his support and how he is always there for our family and the love he has for us I am just so thankful for all of the blessings in my life!!

What a perfect holiday, you can shove your face with so much food that you can't move, not have to clean up the mess if you a visitor, and then hope someone will carry you to the car so you can leave!! I love it!!

Tardy Slip?

Maggie started school this year, she goes to VPK, which is voluntary pre kindegarten. The kids do a lot of things that prepare them for real school next year. Recentely the school has been reminding the parents that school starts promptly at 8:30am. That is fine because I usually get there on time.

This week they really started getting serious with this new rule. Dale had gone away this week and the first day he was gone, I was late to school! The funny thing is, he never helps me get them ready to go to schooll because he is at work. The latest you can be there is 8:35am, I showed up at 8:36am!

I walk into the class like nothing is wrong and the teacher looks at me in frnt of the whole class and says, "Can you get a tardy slip from the office please!" I felt like I had just committed a crime. I was standing in frontt of a class of 4 years olds and they were all looking at me like shame on you! I felt so weird like they were all judging me! I was one minute late for crying out loud, can you cut me some slack on the first day of the new policy! It is not like they are going to Yale or Harvard!!

I slinked out of the class with my tail between my legs and went to the office to get a tardy slip. I was just shocked that these people still work off of the honesty policy! What will happen if I am late everyday and I only claim 2 tardy slips? Just saying Anyway, the lady who handed it to me is the head of the program and I said, "Can I have a tardy slip?" She said, "It is 8:36!?!?" I said,"Yeah I am late!" She handed me the slip and said here, sorry I felt like saying I am sorry also, this is bullshit, a tardy slip for being one minute over the time! Give me a break!! I pulled myself together and took it like a champ! I snatched the slip out of her hand and said all kinds of things under my breath so no one could hear me, but it made me feel better about the ridiculous situation!

I love talking under my breath just low enough for no one to hear me but loud enough so I can! That is the best feeling, like you got a secret jab in the fight! I always have to have the last word whether it is aloud or under my breath!!!

I wonder if I am going to collect tardy slips like some people collect unpaid parking tickets?

Clean Up After Your Pets and Kids!!

Over the summer I took a hiatus from life! I mean I took a vacation from my everyday life and traveled New England for two weeks! I think this might have been the best trip I have ever been on in my whole life! We went to Sesame place in Pennsylvania, Boston, Maine, New Hampshire, and everywhere in between. I have memories from every state, each one better then the next. I have happy memories, like when DAle came and suprised me and also some sad ones like when we went to see my moms aunt who is 92 in a nursing home. I have a little funny story that I thought of the other day.

We went to Acadia National Park in Maine, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The drive there was less then to be desired and the drive back was even worse. The pic above is when we were at Thunder Whole, which is where you go to watch the water rush in and make a huge loud noise, hence the thunder, and splash everywhere. When we were there there was no thunder just a hole. We did have a really good time and saw some beautiful sights.

You can see from the pic that my kids were wearing dresses. Somehow, I think Grace had a full diaper and we took it off just for a minute until we got back to the car to put on another one. The kids and I were walking along the sidewalk above thunder hole and just running and laughing. All of the sudden I heard, "Oh no poop!" I didn't even want to look because I knew right away what had happened! Grace had shit on the sidewalk! The sidewalk where everyone walks! I was horrified, so horrified that when someone walked by I acted like I just found an ounce of gold and was inspecting it!

There were no dog bags around so I did the next logical thing, picked my kids up and got the hell out of there!!!!

Zip Up Already!

I went to a party yesterday for a little girl at Maggies school. It was at her house and there was all kinds of fun things to do. I went with one of my friends that I had met through Maggie's school. Her kids and my kids are the same ages almost exactly to the day. Anyway, I wore a pair of jeans that sometimes the zipper comes down. The only reason why I wore them to the party is because they fit and they were clean! You know how that goes, sometimes you even have to pull something out of the dirty laundry and spray it with Febreeze just so you can go! I made a point to make sure I checked my zipper often to make sure it was still up. I got side tracked a couple of times and didn't realize that it had come down! I wore a shirt long enough to cover the zipper "just in case!"

I was in the bounce house jumping around with a couple of the kids and we were all having fun, just being silly. Some lady that I don't know came in to totally put a damper on my good time! I was jumping away and you know when you jump and your shirt that was once covering the area where your zipper is comes up with each jump, well that happened. I saw the lady get in and immediately her eyes shot right to my zipper! I knew right away what she saw and I knew it couldn't be good! I was a little embarresed and I kind of felt sorry for her that she had to see that! She didn't have to say one thing and I knew by the look on her face what she saw! The look of sheer horror said it all!

I casually zipped up and acted like nothing happened! I came out of the bounce house and made sure not to make eye contact with that women for the rest of the time I was there! I know she will be forever scarred by what she saw under that zipper for two reasons, one, I have had two c-sections and it looks like I have a extra stomach and for two I didn't have my Spank on!!! Those are two combinations for someone to be scarred for life!

I hope she can get over it and I will go on wearing my pants with the zipper that doesn't work scarring as many people as possible because they look good and they are always the pair that is claen!!

1. Why is toilet paper white?

2. My neighbor has up X-Mas lights! WTF! Slow it down, I still have to get past Thanksgiving! I do love this time of year though:0

3. I think I have developed a double chin from looking down on the computer typing!

4. How come when my kids whine it feels amplified 1000 times, but when they cry for no reason I can ignore it?

5. I am suprised at how much I love making jewelry!

6. Other mothers can be so fickle and our kids are only in VPK! So looking foward to the real competative years! I can only imagine how cut throat it must be!

Taking Chance

My husband used to work midnight shift for years so I was always used to being by myself at night. He is a police officer and when he got promoted to lieutenant he was the lowest guy on the todum pole so he of course got the shittiest shift! I kind of built my life around him not being home at night, and I kind of liked it. The weird thing is we got to see him alot even though he worked midnights. Just recently he changed shifts and units so now he works days and is home at night. At first I thought I was going to hate it, him being home at night and butting into to "my time!" I was so used to just being able to relax and just do whatever I wanted and I thought that he was going to intefere with that. The total opposite happened! I love him being home at night! He really doesn't really butt into "my time." He does what he does and I do what I do, it really wors out nicely. We get to eat dinner together as a family and he gets to be there when the kids go to bed and when they wake up in the morning, which is so awesome. It really is working out good for us as a family And to think that I was going to hate it! See what happens when I think!

Last night was Veterans day and they had all military movies on TV. I was making some jewelry and he said, "Hey this looks like a good movie, let's sit down together and watch it!" I was so excited that we could actually sit down together and watch a movie and just spend some quality time together. The movie was called "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon. I knew a little about the movie because I saw him on Jay Leno one night talking about it. It was about a marine who was asked to escort the body of a dead soilder home that was killed in the war. It was very sad and sometimes movies like that really hit home for me, because he is a police officer and puts his life on the line everyday so other people can be safe!

When the movie was over we were both in tears and we just hugged for the longest time. It was a very special moment for me, it was like I fell in love with him all over again I know it sounds so stupid, but sometimes it only takes something so simple to bring the love back!

I love my husband so much and am so proud of him for what he does everyday and how he treats our family. He loves us more then anything! He is my guardian angel, i know he is always looking out for our family and he always has our back You can't ask for more then that!

She Can Sleep Anywhere

Today the kids got up at 5:30am as usual, I know it is so early, but I don't think they have really adjusted to the time change yet. We brought Maggie to school, which she is already exhausted by the time she gets there because she has already been awake for three hours. When we went to pick her up I wanted to go to the bead store to get some stuff for my jewelry. When we came home from that disaster I tried jkeeping them busy inside because it was still a little to hot outside. They were having non of it and I decided we had to go outside. I actually ended up having a good time, because we played kickball and chased each other around, just laughing and having fun. It started to get hot so we came in to get a drink and cool off a little. I mean we had already been outside for and hour and a half. We stayed inside til it was time to go outside and wait for daddy to come home from work. We ended up staying out for like two more hours. They were EXHAUSTED!!!!

We came inside and took a quick bath while daddy was making dinner. If I have never mentioned it before, I like that my husband is home at night because he usually cooks dinner now while I give the kids a bath! That is always a plus After the bath we came down stairs to eat, of course they wanted waffles! I was still waiting for our dinner to be done so I walked out of the room and walked back in the kitchen and this is what I found:

Grace was sound asleep in her highchair!! She had just put her head to the side and fell asleep! I can see that taking her outside for hours on end will actually make them tired, so tired that she can't keep her eyes open!!!

I would like to thank Grace for planning my day tomorrow! It will go a little something like this: wake up, eat, go outside, nap, get up, eat, go outside, come inside, take bath, eat, go to bed EARLY!!! Thank you for making that so easy for me, because I was a little worried on what to do since there is no school tomorrow! I feel like I secretely pulled one over on her HE!HE!

The Sentimental Garage Sale

I had a garage sale over the weekend that has taken a toll on me physically and emotionally. I made some money, which is always a plus, but I sold all of my baby things. I sold my playpen, stroller, thank goodness it wasn't a Maclaren, both infant car seats, and a bunch of clothes. That may sound like not a big deal to anyone, but really it is like the end of an era for me.

As my husband drove away with the rest of the baby stuff in the car to bring it to the house of the lady who bought it, it hit me, my babies are growing up. I have tried not to think about it, but I just can't help it! I was thinking of all the times I would lay them on the changing table after they got out of the bath and how cute they would look wrapped up in their towel just smiling away at me. I thought of all the times they would stay down stairs and sleep in the playpen just so I could have them by me. All the times I would take them for a walk in the stroller just to enjoy the day and our time together. I thought of a million other things, like how cute they looked in the carseats when I brought them home from tthe hospital to start our new life together as a family It just made me think about all the fun and happy times we had when they were in the baby stages and just how much I enjoyed it and miss it

Now they are big girls who don't need a changing table, they dress themselves! Forget about sitting in a stroller, they run down the street like they are trying to win first place in the marathon. Playpens, HA! forget about confining them anywhere, they are big girls now and can sleep in their own beds or should I say, they can sleep in mommy's bed HA!

I really do enjoy the stages they are in right now! Maggie is in school and is learning so much and making friends, Grace is still trying to figure herself out, but she sure loves her Mama right now!!!

I just sometimes wish I could rock them and keep them as my babies for one more day!! I miss it so much, my babies are growing up and things are changing and I am just happy for all the happy memories I have with them and how proud I am that they are growing into such beautiful, kind, considerate, little ladies.

Secretely inside my heart, they will always be my babies, even if they are 110 years old!!!!!!

Frazzled much?

Today I had to work. I work one day a month and today was my lucky day. I had so much to do today and food shopping was on the list. I dropped Maggie off at school and ran to the grocery store. I only brought Grace since Maggie ws at school and DAle had to go to court. I ran through the store like my ass was on fire, literally. It was a little mini fiasco though! Grace would not stay in the cart and I was sweating like crazy because I was running so fast to get out of there. I only had a limited amount of time because I still had to go home unload and put awat the groceries, get ready for work, make the kids lunch because they were going to the park with daddy, pick up Maggie, and be dropped off at work! OMG! That sounds like so much to do in so little time. but I did it.

Anyway, the lady was putting my groceries in my car at the store and I realized that I had bought no meat to make the dinner with! This is great, I have a whole bunch of vegetables and carbs, but no meat to have with them!! I guess I didn't realize how fast I was really going! I mean really, how do you skip the whole meat department? Even Helen Keller could see it and I still missed it! Bullshit on toast now I have to go back another day to get the meat!!

The even funnier part is, when I got home and was unpacking everything, I had Saltines in my stuff!! Saltines? Who eats saltines and why would I acidentally pick of all things, saltines!!!! What a piss off!! Maybe we can have saltines, vegetables, and potatoes for dinner tomorrow! No point in wasting the food

What A Day!!!

Now usually I have something to say about every little thing! You can ask me about an ice cube and I can go into conversation about it! You know everything is not that serious and you can always find humor in something. The funny thing is, there was no humor to be had in this day I call today!

From the minute I woke up til the second the kids went to bed was a complete disaster. Nobody would listen to one thing I said, they were doing whatever they wanted , and for some god for saken reason, nobody was getting tired!!!!!! Grace would not stop eating, Maggie would not stop telling me what to do, and they would not stop fighting!

Really I don't even know where to go with this post! The only place I can really think of to go is bed!

Highlights From My Trip!

I went to North Carolina last week for my dad's 60th birthday! I can't believe my dad is 60 years old! You know how sometimes it seems like your parents never age and they are always going to be young and vibrant like when you are little! Sometimes it seems hard to believe that my dad is 60 years old! Anyway, we went to NC because he wanted to go see the leaves change and just have a nice vacation. We had an awesome time all together. Here are some of the highlights:

Dale got to come on the trip!! Dale really never gets to go because he is either working or just doesn't want to. I am so happy he decided to go because we got to do so many fun things as a family that we normally don't do. Driving up there was fun, even though it was so far, staying in hotels was so fun for the kids, and seeing how happy the kids were that daddy was there made it all worth it

The kids got to see some beautiful sites and mountains in Georgia! We went to Bald mountain where we hiked or should I say Dale and I carried Maggie and Grace up and down the mountain. I thought a couple of times that I was going to die, but I pulled through and we saw the most beautiful scenery and mountains! The kids had the best time looking around and seeing all the new things and mostly seeing all the bugs. I think it was ladybug season because they were everywhere and I mean everywhere

I actually think one of the best parts was, seeing the kids having so much fun seeing all the new things and stopping everywhere and being able to see all the different bugs and animals. Also, seeing the kids just enjoying being kids and hanging out with mommy and daddy!

This are some of the highlights I have from on the way to NC. We actually stopped in GA first and stayed with our friends before we headed off to NC. That is what these pics are from. I will be posting highlights from the rest of the trip later. It takes way to long to download the pics on GoDaddy.

Why? Why today of all days did you have to pull your best tricks out of your hat? Al mommy wanted to do is go to lunch with her friends she hasn't seen in a long time! Did you really have to scream in the middle of the restaurant that you had to pee? Not only did you scream you had to pee, but you screamed it four times!! For the love of God couldn't you have piped down just a whisker? You were so loud that you made the old women in the table next to us ask, "What is wrong with her?" You made me snap at the old lady! When you were running out the front door screaming that "you wanted to go to nannies right now!" That may have been a little over the top also! Oh yeah, I would also like to know when you stopped liking pizza? I don't know one kid on the planet that doesn't like pizza!! I am so glad today of all days that you decided not to like pizza since that is where we were going for lunch! I just want to thank you for being such a disaster at lunch!

I am so glad that you didn't want to take a bath or for that matter even come inside! This is another thing, why today of all days that mommy is the most tired from the trip and not sleeping did you decide that you wanted to stay outside? You never want to be outside, shit, I am always begging you to come outside and you are always running inside! How did this day become so ass backwards? Was mommy just to tired or did you wake up with a hair across your ass and a point to prove? You know I am still trying to figure out what happened and where it went wrong!

All I do know is at the end of the day when we laid down to go to sleep and you told me, "I wub you poreber and a day mommy" everything that you did today fled out of my mind for a brief moment and it was just you and me snuggling which is the best part of the day!!! Then when I told you, " I love you more today then I did yesterday and I will love you even more tomorrow!" and you said, "I wub you so so much!" OMG!! Can you believe I have been out of the blogging loop for a week? I am dying ova here!!! I went away last Sunday and was using my husband's laptop the first day and then the stupid thing shit the bed!! I had no way of blogging! I actually missed it a little, I really didn't realize how much I like blogging until I couldn't do it. I have my phone, but the reception where I was was not that good and the phone wouldn't come in!! I was so lost out there in the big wide world with no way to blog!! I am happy to announce that, I AM BACK!!!!

I am Mad at Yesterday!

I am sitting in a hotel room right now blogging about yesterday. I could not talk about yesterday until today, because the whole day just pissed me off! It was kind of like i woke up in the morning and when I got out of bed my shoes were tied together an I fell flat on my face. No, I didn't wear shoes to bed, I was just saying, the day started off bad.

First of all, we had to get ready to go away today. I had to do all he laundry,pack for me and the kids, make dinner, and pick up as best I could before we left. When I say clean up as best I could, I mean throw everything that was out in a spot to never be seen or heard from again. Anyway, we are going to North Carolina to see the leaves change and stay in a house on Lake Lure for my dad's birthday. We are driving so my husband decided to clean the whole van inside and out, first thing in the morning. I had so much shit to do and he is cleaning out the van! I was so pissed, he was totally getting in the way of my scheduled, I use the word scheduled loosely, errands for the day. He said he wanted the van to be clean for when we left. I don't know if he realized that we were going to be driving in the nice clean van for 14 hours with two children that I am sure will totally destroy it by the time we pull out of the driveway. When he was done cleaning out the inside of the van I was ready to leave and do my last minute shopping for the trip. I am getting ready to go and he says he wants to wash the van on the outside before it go to late in the day and was too hot. That sent me into a little bit of a tailspin!! I just wanted to go get my shit done already. Mr. clean went out to wash the outside of the van just in time for it to rain!! See, the van was trashed before we even left on the trip. Go stick it up your ass Mr. Clean, someone was punishing you for getting in the way of what I had to do, the important things!

That cluster fuck was finally over, I really thought it was never going to end. I made dinner to put in the crock pot, which was a nice touch, there was no way that I was making dinner also. I put Grace down for a nap and Maggie and I did our errands. We went to Michael's because I had a coupon and the sale ended yesterday. Somehow going to Michael's when I had so much to do, just seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Maggie and I wondered around for about an hour. Oh well, I got to spend some time with Maggie Real quick story here, Maggie and I were looking at the beads and she was picking out all the red beads and I was just looking and all of the sudden this guy started talking in the aisle next to us, his voice was so loud and raspy, Maggie jumped about ten feet in the air and said, "Mommy can we get out of the bead section now?" I said, "Why? Did that guy scare you?" She said, "Yeah! Let 's get out of here!" We left Michael's and went to Target to get the stuff for th trip. All she wanted to do was go play in the toys!!! She keep asking me to go, therefor I was sidetracked and forgot half the things I needed to get. The whole shopping thing was just a little bit of a fiasco, but Maggie had a good time with just me

When we got home Grace woke up and ate something and we went outside to blow off steam so they will be totally exhausted by the time it is bedtime and they well just go right to bed!!!! I was gone for two hours on my shopping excursion and Dale stayed home to relax and take a shower while Grace slept. I get home and he didn't take a shower, which sent me into another tailspin, Anyway, I take the kids outside and he says he is going to take a shower!!! Typical, I had to take them outside by myself in 98 degree weather and sweat my ass off!! I was like a ticking time bomb at this point because I had so much to do and no time to do it! Maggie and Grace were playing with their friends and having a good time, which translates into, it wasn't that bad outside because the kids had someone to play with and they didn't beg me the whole time for their friends to come home! This is where it gets worse, Maggie had gone in to get a drink and I told her not to go over by her friends because we didn't have enough to give everyone, she started to fake cry and run towards her friends and she fell! She didn't have shoes on because she just doesn't wear shoes, can't be sure!! She starts crying and I go over to her and roll her over to see her toes and the sidewalk covered in blood!! When she fell she scraped her the and took a huge chunk of skin off the top of her toe. That would usually be no big deal, but since we were going away where it is going to be cold, I thought we might have a little bit of a problem. I was really going to lose it at this point!! My husband fixed the toe, it bled worse then it really was, and she was on her way! She went off to play with her friends limping and laughing

Finally, we ate dinner, had a bath, my mom and dad came over to see them before we left, and they went to bed. AAHHHH!! I could breathe, I could finally ge my stuff done! Oh cont rare, Dale left for his detail at 9:15pm I sat down to breathe for one second and Grace wakes up. I mean seriously, we have been together all day, go to sleep! I go get her she had to go to the bathroom, so I took her and just left her on the couch. I am there doing all this work an she is sleeping on the couch!! I was exhausted by the end of the day and just wanted to go to BED!!!!

All is well and I finally went to bed, just to have the weirdest dream about my husband being gay and I caught him in the act!! I can't be sure either!! We are traveling now and I will blog as much as possible!! Sorry for the long winded post, I just really hated yesterday!!!! Right now we are in Georgia and I will blog tomorrow about today. How ass backwards, I am blogging today about yesterday and blogging tomorrow about today!! Whatevs

Accidental Science Project

I opened my fridge this afternoon looking for something to eat because I was so hungry and I found this gem! I didn't know what it was right away, I thought it might have been left overs that my husband had put in there. I took it out to see if it was edible, and this is what I found.....

If you can guess what this is then you have obviously done science projects before! The funny thing is, this was an accidental science project!! I know you are dying to know what it is....they are onions that I had cut about, actually I don't know when I cut them, hence the science project!!! I wish we had smell o vision because this is some rank shit!!!!!

It was a pure oversight on my part to leave them in there for so long. I am just going to take comfort in knowing, if my kids ever have to do a science project on how much mold and stank can come out of chopped onions that were left in the fridge for too long, we will get an A+!!!!

We used to have these phones. The phones would not stay charged for more then five minutes at a time! It was becoming a real serious problem. i would be talking to someone and chatting away with one of my long winded storied about nothing and then my cell phone would ring with the person I was talking to! You guessed it, the phone died and I had no idea!!! It was just getting to the point where I would rather not have a phone.

On Sunday, Dale went to the store and got new phones, FINALLY!!!! The kids couldn't wait to use them. When they were charged enough to use, we checked them out to see what they did. These phones were way better and had much more features then the other ones. I am teaching Maggie important phone numbers and how to dial the phone in case of an emergency so she is so into it. On the screen of the phone you can have a custom phrase or word, since there are two phones, I put Maggie on one and Grace on the other, now they think they each have a phone. Maggie carries hers around everywhere she goes. She will put it i her pocket, hold it in her hand, or just keep it by her where ever she is, it is so cute

The phone also has a feature where you can set up an address book of numbers and all you have to do is scroll through it and you can name the people and their name will come up when the phone rings. I set up a little address book in her phone of all the important people that call like my mom, my sister, daddy, gram, and my dad. I didn't really realize what that meant when I was innocently doing it!! We have only had the phones for one day, but she calls people in the address book all the time. This morning she called my sister at 6:30 in the morning. I didn't know she was doing it and the next thing I knew I heard her leaving my sister a message to call her and she loved her! I thought WOW! I have only showed her one time how to use the address book and she already gets it. A few minutes go by and I hear her talking to my mother in law, it was 6:45 in the morning!! I heard her say, "Hi Gram, did you get the back scratcher for me yet?" I said,"Who are you talking to?" she said, "Gram, why, I called her from the address book!" I couldn't believe it, it actually was pretty funny, she is like a hundred year old women on the phone calling her friends, just to chat

I guess you can see the new phones are a success!! Maggie can call all of her peeps whenever she wants just to chat them up and shoot the breeze I better just put a time frame on it so she will not be calling people at six in the morning!!!

"Daddy, These are the best Tuptakes I Eber Eat"

The other day while Grace was taking a nap I took Maggie to Michael's. when we got back she wanted to make cupcakes with Dale. They made cupcakes and watched them rise in the oven through the window Maggie was so anxious for them to be done so she could eat one with Grace on the picnic table outback. She would say, "Daddy are they done yet? Cane we frost them?" He kept saying not yet, in a few minutes!

Grace woke up from her nap when the cupcakes were done, what perfect timing! Maggie and I went to get her and she said right away that she wanted tuptakes I told her she had to eat lunch first then she could have one. She so polietely said,"Otay mommy." We went down stairs and had lunch and as soon as lunch was over, we went to the picnic table in the backyard and they started eating their cupcakes!! Maggie was so proud of the work that she had done and Grace just loved eating them

They were sitting at the table eating and DAle walked outside to have a cupcake with them, since he did make them He opened the door and Grace looked up at him and said, "Daddy, these are the best tuptakes I eber eat!!!" OMG!! It was the cutest thing ever!! It was like she had never had a tuptake in her whole life

I just love how they always in one way or another make every situation special and memorable BTW I didn't get it on video!! I know what you are thinking, "What kind of mother are you?" Don't worry I thought the same thing!!!

This is the kicker of the whole thing, not only did I not get video, this is the best pic I got! No one is looking and Maggie is on the phone Leave it to me!!

I Wub You Poreber and A Day Mommy!

This week has been really crazy with everyone being sick and me really not sleeping that much. Grace has had diarrhea for 7 days and since she is potty trained, she would get up in the middle of the night every time she had to g to the bathroom!! The first couple of nights I was up all night because she had to go so much! I felt so bad for her little 26lb self She was so sick, but now she is doing better! She is eating and drinking her fever is gone and she is pooing semi normal now!! Thank goodness

Then, Maggie woke up in the middle of the night the other night screaming that her ear hurt!! I knew right away that she had an ear infection, because she has a history of them. Really what else could it be? There I am trying to calm Maggie down and get her settled while running back and forth to the bathroom with Grace! It was real harry there for a couple of nights, I didn't even know what I was doing half the time!!!

Last night everyone is finally feeling better, Grace is doing better and Maggie is doped up on antibiotics, so she feels good My husband had to do a search warrant for work and then work a detain after that until midnight. I had to put them to bed by myself, I know it sounds crazy, but my husband is usually there to help. I told them we were going to sleep in Maggie's room as a little treat and act like we were having a slumber party! They only wanted to sleep in my room, so I said FINE! I was so tired I probably would have slept on the roof if they asked just so I could get some sleep! Anyway, I have to lay in between them so they can both be by me and Maggie likes when I look at her. There I am in between them looking at Maggie when all the sudden I feel a little arm around my neck and a little soft voice say, "I wub you poreber and a day mommy!" then she patted my hair and back and gave me a kiss!! Yes, that was my little love bug Grace, she loves to tell me that she wubs me all the time!! How did she know that when she said that it was going to melt away all the other stresses of the day and make everything okay? I swear, I LOVE my kids more then life itself, they always know just how to make my day

Rainbow Cake

I was over at McMama's website the other day and I saw that she had a rainbow cake on there that one of her friend's had made for a get together that she had. I decided I was going to make the cake in a scaled down version because my in-laws were in town and it just so happened to be my father-in-laws 75th birthday. The cake she had on the website had six layers and they were all the colors of the rainbow and a frosting that you make from scratch. As I mentioned, I had to make a scaled down version because there was not going to be that many people to have a six layer cake. Oh yeah, I also did not make the frosting from scratch, I used the orange Halloween frosting. The cake is so fun when you cut into it and it really isn't hard to make, it just takes a lot of pans. Mine is not nearly as beautiful as, I think her name was Amanda, but I gave it my best shot.

I only did three layers, but it was still so fun! I would post the recipe, but her website is copywrited, so if you want the recipe go to her blog. It really is a fun thing to do. I can't believe I am posting about a cake, but it was that fun, to see his face when he cut into it and see all the different colors! I know mine looks like Edward Scissorhands cut into it, but it still tasted good Go over there and check it out.

My Date Ended With Diarrhea:)

Last night I went on a date with my husband! We really never do anything and we finally did last night. His parents are here fromout of town and it was his step father's 75th birthday, so we were going to eat and to the casino, my favorite thing!!!!!

I had a garage sale in the morning at my mom's house and made ~~some~~ barely enough money to make it worth the blood, sweat, and tears I out into it. I was going to leave there and go home and my mom was going to come over and watch the kids. I didn't leave until late and got home late then my mom got there and we left. We actually left after maggie had the biggest meltdown in the front yard!!

We go to dinner at the Rustic Inn, which is a seafood restaurant, and the food was really good. We were there for a while then it was off the the casino. I was chomping at the bit to get to the casino. I love going there but I only really go on special occasions, meaning only when my in-laws come down. So anyway, I was excited to go. We got there and stayed for about an hour and I left with nine dollars less then what I went with!!! AWESOME!!! That really never happens, I usually blow my load in the beginning of the trip and spend the rest of my time looking for eveybody to leave!! They had to call me over the loud speaker because I was not there to meet them on time because I as to busy making money!! OHHH YEEEEHHHHHH!!!!!!

On the way home Dale says to me, "GRace felt a little warm when we were leaving!" I am her mother and had been with her all day and didn't notice she was warm at all. I kind of just thought he was drunk or something because I could't figure out why he was telling me on the way home instead of before we left. Then when I thought about it, he didn't want me to change my mind and not go! I guess he was trying to be sneaky like swiper the fox, that was for all of the Dora fans out there

We got home and my mom says, "Grace felt kind of warm!" What two people besides me notice MY child might have a fever and I didn't!! What kind of mother am I? I go upstairs to check on her and she was like a hot coal!! she was so hot that I took her clothes off and took her downstairs to get her a drink and cool off. I gave her some Advil and hoped her fever would go down. Oh yeah, I took her temp and it was 102.8!! I felt so bad that I didn't notice!!

She paid me back for not noticing that she may have been coming down with something because I was up all night with her having DIARRHEA!!! ALL NIGHT!!!!! I think I have been up since yesterday morning before the garage sale! She had diarrhea all night and all day today I don't know if she has the flu or some kind of stomach bug, I just know that I feel so bad for her little self She is just so sad and hot and really doesn't want to do anything except for be with me, which is fine, except for if she gives me this little diarrhea thing, then we will have some issues!! I am going to have to take her to the doctor tomorrow if she doesn't get better. When I called today they said wait until tomorrow and monitor her! That I am going to do I hope she feels better by then though!!
